Since october 2, 2003, import duty for paper has been reduced to 7.5% and would reamin until December 31, 2004. Then, it will be decreased to 5% starting from Janurary 1, 2005

For pulp and recovered paper products, the import duty has remained at 1% which is the lowest among the general basis.
